Lion Red Punters & Clubs Challenge. "Is your local in?"

Lion Red Punters & Clubs Challenge. "Is your local in?"

An annual event this competition attracts teams from many Northland Lion affiliated Pubs and Clubs as they compete for the trophy, honour and Lion branded products.

Lion Red Pubs & Clubs Punters' Competition

There is considerable pride in winning the Lion Red Trophy, plus $1,000 of merchandise, amongst the Northland Pubs and Clubs. No doubt Craig Woods will be keen to put up another successful team to defend the Kensington Tavern's right to hold the trophy.

Full details of the competition can be found on the Flyer or Rules as attached below. Simply click on the document.

In sum the competition is available for teams of 4-6 nominated by a Northland Club or Pub that is associated with Lion Red. The entry fee is $400 per team and that provides for the teams betting and jackpot contributions. The team retains all their moneys won from betting, receives three beer vouchers, a light snack, is in the draw for one of two jackpot draws and in the running for $1,000 of Lion Red merchandise.

Due to the level of interest for this the first race meeting of Ruakaka's winter racing season, teams are limited to a maximum of 20 teams.
