"Join the locals for a day out" - become a Bream Bay Business Race Day supporter and network with local businesses and friends at the opening Saturday of the winter season.

Get your Bream Bay business name nationally televised on the Trackside channel and have a fun afternoon with other local businesses at the Ruakaka racecourse on Saturday June 15.

A great opportunity for “8” Bream Bay Businesses to win one of the race names on the opening Saturday of Ruakaka’s winter racing season.

How Does It Work?

Sponsorship costs $375 (ex GST) per business.

Each business is invited to attend the lucky draw for the eight prizes of a race name and reserved table at the race meeting with hospitality. Draw will take place near to or after COB on Thursday 16 May at a Bream Bay venue and time to be determined.   

Prizes are drawn in order of the stake money allocated to each race – there are 1 x $35,000; 2 x $30,000; 2 x $25,000; 2 x $22,500 and 1 x $10,000 valued races. 

With the draw a month prior to the event each business will have ample time to plan for the day and invite guests if they have won a hospitality table. All businesses, subject to final numbers, can buy additional tickets if they wish to build the numbers in their group. This has been common practice in previous years as we can cater for 120 seated guests.

Everyone gets to celebrate at a luncheon function on the raceday with a minimum of two guests per business PLUS the eight prize winning teams receive significant promotional benefits. Full details of prizes below.

Each business race name receives national promotion through Trackside television, radio and the racing and betting media outlets.

First Drawn Prize

Naming right to the feature $35,000 Open 1200 metre race.  

Full page space for advert in racebook on the day and logo displayed on big screen.

Allocated signage space in parade ring for 12 months (signage cost at sponsors expense).

Reserved table of ten (10) in Bonecrusher Lounge with 40 drink vouchers for Bream Bay business lunch and race meeting.

Photo presentation and celebratory drinks with winning connections in Dean Logan Winners Circle.

Second and Third Drawn Prizes

Naming right to one of two $30,000 races on the programme.  

Full page space for advert in racebook on the day and logo displayed on big screen.

Allocated signage space in parade ring for 12 months at sponsors sign writing costs.

Reserved table of ten in Bonecrusher Lounge with 40 drink vouchers for Bream Bay business lunch and race meeting.

Fourth and Fifth Drawn Prizes

Naming right to one of two $25,000 races on the programme.

Eighth Drawn Prize

Naming right to the $10,000 race on the programme.

At the race meeting the prize-winning businesses can place up to two temporary banners, signs or flags in locations subject to Club approval.

NON-DRAWN BUSINESS SUPPORTERS

Every non prize winning business receives as a minimum, on the raceday, of two guest invites to the race day luncheon with a total of eight drink vouchers at a shared table in the Surfbreak Lounge.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

Entry is subject to payment of the sponsorship on time, prior to draw date of 16 May.

Race name must conform to NZTR naming conditions.

The actual race number and type is subject to the final race acceptances and outside the control of the Club.

Display of race names other than by the Club are by third parties and may be subject to variation.

Any signage must be approved by the Club before being put in situ.

The event is an outside sporting event with its conduct controlled by NZTR and may be subject to changes as a consequence of inclement weather conditions.

WHAT TO DO NOW?

In the email provide us with your business’s contact person details and we will send an invoice for $375 plus gst;

OR

Pay with Direct Debit to Whangarei Racing Club Bank Account: 01 – 0495 - 0001995 – 00.

Use identification - BB + your business name.

An invoice of Sponsorship Paid will be then forwarded.
