Membership renewals and applications for Membership of the Whangarei Racing Club will be due before the first meeting this winter on Wednesday May 15.

A renewal membership form will be sent out to current Members.The Membership year for the Whangarei Racing Club has been aligned to its main racing period of mid-May to the following January, with most meetings held in the period June to September.

Membership of the Club is for the year dated April 1 2019 to 31 March 2020 with race meetings held across two racing seasons from May 2019 to January 2020. The race meetings scheduled during this period are Wednesday May 15; Saturday June 15, 29, and July 13; Sunday August 11; Saturday August 31 and September 14; Wednesday October 2; Tuesday December 17 and Saturday January 4. The dates from August on-wards are to be confirmed but are expected to be ratified by both NZTR and NZRB.

The Membership subscription is $55 including GST with the following benefits.

Member and guest pass for each WRC meeting until the end of March 2020 enables free access to each of those race meetings.

Access to all areas of the course including joining the owners and trainers in the Sunline Bar that is adjacent to the parade arena, and of course, the Members' Lounge overlooking the winning post.

In the Members' Lounge self-serve tea and coffee is available throughout the afternoon. 

On raceday, race books are free to Members and their guest.

Each Member is entitled to stand for election to the Board and vote at each election and on any constitutional matters.

During the race meetings there will be various additional entitlements including prize draws for a lucky Member attending on the day or discounted pricing for a function or special event.
