Training

The Ruakaka Training Complex is used by more than 15 trainers and produced over 130 horses for more than 650 starts last season.
In 2009 the complex became a recognized Strategic Training Venue (B) by New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing.
The Ruakaka Training Centre provides facilities enabling trainers based north of Auckland to train on a high quality track throughout the year.

Training facilities include:

•    Tracks (track proper, sand track and beach)
•    Yards and Boxes
•    Wash downs
•    Tie-ups
•    Facilities for vet and blacksmith
•    Staff including a qualified Track Manager, Gap Supervisor, Administration and Racing Manager.
